A word of caution...

Always take time to consider what you are getting into when joining a group, or following an individual - whether in person, or online - who claims to reveal the Inner Secrets of Magic, or Occultism. We are not suggesting that every content creator or course leader is grifting, or merely exploiting the current trends in Occultism. Many are genuine and committed to spreading the Light to those who may have no other access to the materials or information.

But others are not so ethical, nor as experienced and qualified as they seek to appear. There are those that are out-and-out grifters, which only an expert could spot!

There are those that will publicly "reveal" teachings, practices, or techniques to interested parties. However, some may not be providing the appropriate safeguards or full knowledge, either through ignorance, malice and bad faith, or a lack of due diligence.

Not everything in the Mysteries can be gleaned by study of content alone, and even those who share techniques with the public through courses, or online, cannot replace the years of constant practice and lived experience which are necessary for Mastery of any Occult Discipline; nor can a course replace the authority and function of an Esoteric Order, which is designed to supply ALL the necessities of spiritual technology, safeguarding, tuition, and development.

As Grand Secretary of the EMO UK, I feel it's important for anyone starting out on the Path to be absolutely certain of their first steps. "All that glisters is not Gold."

The unwary Seeker can find themselves in deep waters before they know it, and then have to seek help from Occult "Lifeguards" - those who actually have the proper knowledge and experience, and who follow safe practices. The Senior Members of our Order have been called upon to assist in cases such as these, and some of our new Initiates have come to the EMO UK after having fallen foul of poor practice, finally understanding that traditional stability is necessary, even if authoritarian dogma is not!

We all have freedom of choice, but a well-informed choice leads to positive outcomes.

The sin is not of the pupil who is in error, but of the teacher who causes or permits the error.
